Stroppy Beth - Saturated Canary

I've been playing around with soldering jewelry and I thought why not combine my Saturated Canary Digis, and see what happens?  Let me tell you, I needed my cheaters to color this baby up with my copics (LOL!)  I'm thrilled with how this necklace turned out.  This will make the perfect BIRTHDAY GIFT for my daughters friends.  I'm entering the following challenges:

Victorian Beauty - Sassy Studio Designs

Dare to be sassy thursday has a challenge going on this week to make a Christmas Card. I know, not ready for Christmas yet - well, if you give it a go, you'll have one less card to make when the actual time comes!  I'm trying to make at least 2 Christmas Cards a Month to de-stress the holidays!  I'm into different folds lately, and this is a shutter card, but I left the front of it square.  If you've made these before, I never liked that irritating notch off the front, this way, I have the whole front to decorate and not around the notch.  I used CTMH papers on this one, and am really pleased with how it turned out.  I thought I was really clever to make one space look like the back of an envelope!  As for me, I'm one card less to make for the holiday that will be fast approaching on its own.  I'll be entering the following challeges:

Thinking of You

So I was asked if I would be interested in donating all types of cards to the "Sunshine Club" at our elementary school.  What is that you say?  It's simply cards for the teachers at school to give where they see fit, fellow teacher's bday, sympathy, sick child, anywhere they want to spread a little sunshine.  Seemed like a great idea, so I jumped on board!  Well, they needed a few more Thinking of  You cards.  I put my thinking cap on and said to myself  "self, you need to get rid of some of these scraps of paper lying around", and I agreed (my scrap pile really really bugs me.  I think it is too much pressure to use it up LOL!).  I so love using leftovers for cards, and they turned out beautifully!  I'm entering the following challenges:

Tulips - The Stamping Boutique

Here is my other Mother's Day card!  Mom, if you're stalking my blog, stop, go away, or just forget you saw this!  LOL!  I tried a new card called a Double Fold, I like it, but there is a whole lot of card to decorate!  The Staming Boutique's challenge this week is this inspirational photo!

Check it out and play along, I'm sure you can come up with something "springy", and who knows, you may win some free digis!

Now, we will be chatting it up on the SSD Blog under the party blog,  at 10 pm eastern which makes it 9:00 central for me.  Join us for ideas, tips, trick, and getting to know each other.  We have a huge design team, so we shouldn't run out of things to chat about!  If you're not a chatter, just click in and listen, you're bound to pick up a tip or two -  LOL! So, come on over and let's dish!  I hear there will also be prizes given away there too!

My most fav tool in the world is a small wall paper roller:  Here is a pic of my well loved item (excuse the goobies) I didn't clean it up for it's blogging debut....
I use it for folding my cards.  I know, sounds silly, but that stupid bone folder and I don't get along, great for scoring, but I always mark up my card folds with it - I HATE THAT!  This inexpensive little roller is the ticket to a great fold, even if the card stock is thicker.  So, this is hands down,  FAVORITE, gotta go out and get it item!

Now, onto my least favorite tool, and I'd like to chuck it out the window - a perferator tool, you know the one that looks like a ladybug with a tracer wheel like dressmakers use to ink darts?  Maybe I just don't get the idea behind this, but I find when I perferate something, it tends to tear after a bit.  Maybe I'm using the wrong paper?  Really, what are these for?  Granted, the lady bug is super cute, but what does she do?  So, there is my two cents worth.

Leave me some love, and head on over to Jackie's blog - http://stampingsister.blogspot.com and see what she has created for your viewing pleasure.

Christmas Present - Sassy Studio Designs

Well, here is my anniversary card.  Hubba Hubba - I know right!  I combined it with a SSD Challenge called Flowers and Flourishes.  I just love Lindsay's work, so so so, well sexy!  I wanted to make a different fold for a card, I guess I'm getting tired of the standard square or rectangle.  This card is called a Z Fold.  I put a tab of velco under the metal tab on the front to secure it.  Otherwise, people have been using bands all around it to slide off.  Cute, but I wanted something to go with this sexy image.  I'm going to enter the following challenges:
