Sassy Graduate - Sassy Studio Designs

Dare to be Sassy Thursday, #177 - Black and White with a Pop of Color!  Hope you're not getting tired of Graduation cards, I've been on a roll lately trying to get mine done.  At Sassy Studio Designs, Lindsay has both girl and guy graduates in a few styles, they are so much fun to play with.  Hop by and check them out!  I hope I'm inspiring you to create with my different style of cards!  I just love this one!  This is the first twisted easel card I've made and it is so perfect for the Grad cap.  I made the tassel, a little big, next time I'll size it down a bit.  I thought I was pretty clever using the white bow to anchor the corner.  So girlie and lots and lots of bling.  Link up the the challenge with your card and come join the fun.  I'll be entering the following challenges:

Mother's Day Card

I thought I'd share another Mother's day card with you today.  I didn't plan this one to be like 2 cards in one but I just kept going!  I made my rolled flowers on the front, which for me turned out awesome.  I've had such a hard time making these rolled flowers everyone does, but the trick for me was a quilling tool to roll them.  Totally awesome, and made them perfect!  I used my CTMH papers which makes things so much easier because the paper all coordinates already!  I came across the sentiment surfing one day, I wish I knew where I saw it to give credit to this wonderful sentiment.  It was perfect for my card.
So hug your Moms today and let them know how special they are.  I'll be entering the following challenges:

The Graduate - Sassy Studio Designs

Thursday!  Dare to Be Sassy Thursday to be exact, Challenge #175.  This challenge is entitled "Kentucky Derby", really, any creation with a hat will do.  I chose The Graduate, what a great opportunity to get at least one grad card done ahead of time!  I love how this came together, some new things I added to my collection were the film strip punch, note paper die cut, and the pennant border!  Guess what, this was totally made with scraps - Whoot Whoot!  Come join in the challenge just put a hat on it!  I'll be entering the following challenges:

Flying Monkey - Sassy Studio Designs

If you've arrived here from Chris's Blog, you're right on track.  Today marks the second day of  the Off to see the Wizard Release.  Lindsay rocked the release as usual.  Hope you are enjoying the Oz inspired digis as much as we are.  I was assigned Flying Monkey with a bingo challenge.

The row I completed was Flying Monkey, Bling, and a ruby slippers/red.  Although I still haven't seen the movie a lot of the images I ran across were with the flying monkey clutching a suitcase.  So, inspiration was born and I fired up my cricut to give it a go.  I had a lot of fun putting the sayings on this.  I wanted it to look like that old suitcase that has stickers of the places it's been.  As for the flying monkey, you might say I monkied around quite a bit with her.  No beautiful flawless skin here, I jazzed her up with my sharpie.  First I colored her in with my skin tones, then doodled all over her.  Very different huh?  Kinda monkeyish right!  Thanks so much for visiting, and if you're feeling inspired, leave some love, you could win some sassys just by commenting!  Your next stop on the yellow brick road is my sassy sister Ruza, and I'm sure you're all familiar with her fabulous work!  Here is a list of the hop incase you get lost!

Sweet Cakes, Image 669 - Sherri Baldy

This project was sooo much fun to do.  I wanted to make a Birthday Reminder Book, and Sweet Cakes by Sherri Baldy was PERFECT!  As you can see, lots and lots of ribbon which is perfect for those bits and pieces you have laying in the bottom of a drawer, you know the ones that you throw away the spool!  Plenty of sparkle, bling, and color compliment this sweet little digi.  The cool thing is if you have a birthday on February 16th, you write that person's name on the 16th line, etc.  It really keeps everyone in order and you can just flip through this little gem to see what cards you need to mail out!  I'm going to be getting myself organized that's for sure!  I'll be sharing my creation at the following challenges:

Esmerelda Honey - Sassy Studio Designs

Dare to Be Sassy Thursday, #174 - Mother's Day/for a Special Lady!  I just love Sassy designs.  Lindsay's images work for such a huge range of holidays/special occasions.  Here I used Esmeralda Honey.  I made my paper with watercolor neocrayons, gesso, doodling and stamping.  Kinda fun to just mess around with stuff, and after taking an inventory, I have a lot of stuff!  LOL! The inside was kinda cool, I used 4 rubber stamps to create my sentiment.  So come on, get your desk messy and join in the fun.  As for me, I will be at the following challenges:

http://tuesdaythrowdown.blogspot.com/ - Make your own background

http://stamp-n-doodle.blogspot.com/ - No Embellishments
