Flying Monkey - Sassy Studio Designs

If you've arrived here from Chris's Blog, you're right on track.  Today marks the second day of  the Off to see the Wizard Release.  Lindsay rocked the release as usual.  Hope you are enjoying the Oz inspired digis as much as we are.  I was assigned Flying Monkey with a bingo challenge.

The row I completed was Flying Monkey, Bling, and a ruby slippers/red.  Although I still haven't seen the movie a lot of the images I ran across were with the flying monkey clutching a suitcase.  So, inspiration was born and I fired up my cricut to give it a go.  I had a lot of fun putting the sayings on this.  I wanted it to look like that old suitcase that has stickers of the places it's been.  As for the flying monkey, you might say I monkied around quite a bit with her.  No beautiful flawless skin here, I jazzed her up with my sharpie.  First I colored her in with my skin tones, then doodled all over her.  Very different huh?  Kinda monkeyish right!  Thanks so much for visiting, and if you're feeling inspired, leave some love, you could win some sassys just by commenting!  Your next stop on the yellow brick road is my sassy sister Ruza, and I'm sure you're all familiar with her fabulous work!  Here is a list of the hop incase you get lost!

Sweet Cakes, Image 669 - Sherri Baldy

This project was sooo much fun to do.  I wanted to make a Birthday Reminder Book, and Sweet Cakes by Sherri Baldy was PERFECT!  As you can see, lots and lots of ribbon which is perfect for those bits and pieces you have laying in the bottom of a drawer, you know the ones that you throw away the spool!  Plenty of sparkle, bling, and color compliment this sweet little digi.  The cool thing is if you have a birthday on February 16th, you write that person's name on the 16th line, etc.  It really keeps everyone in order and you can just flip through this little gem to see what cards you need to mail out!  I'm going to be getting myself organized that's for sure!  I'll be sharing my creation at the following challenges:

Esmerelda Honey - Sassy Studio Designs

Dare to Be Sassy Thursday, #174 - Mother's Day/for a Special Lady!  I just love Sassy designs.  Lindsay's images work for such a huge range of holidays/special occasions.  Here I used Esmeralda Honey.  I made my paper with watercolor neocrayons, gesso, doodling and stamping.  Kinda fun to just mess around with stuff, and after taking an inventory, I have a lot of stuff!  LOL! The inside was kinda cool, I used 4 rubber stamps to create my sentiment.  So come on, get your desk messy and join in the fun.  As for me, I will be at the following challenges:

Ellie Framed - Dillybeans

This sweetie is a joint effort with my 12 year old daughter.  She colored the image, and I created the card.  Gotta say, it is sooooo much faster when you have a precolored image from your daughter, cut my time in half!  LOL!  She did such an awesome job coloring with my copics,  (Yes, I let her use my copics!)  This image from Dillybeans was screaming for BLING!  I created my background paper with dylusion inks and doodles, and stamps.  Glittered up a double layered butterfly to sparkle like her hair, and wala, the perfect thank you card to put in a gift bag - BECAUSE IT DOES NOT FIT IN AN ENVELOPE!  Allie and I will be entering the following challenges:

Besties - Image 694

Just made this easel card to unwind!  I think I totally overloaded it with embellishments, but I can always tuck it in a bag with a thank you gift!  Bling Baby now that's what I'm talking about.  I even hand made some flowers to boot.  Relaxing and fun to create! Effie Trinket - Sassy Studio Designs

So excited to be chosen for a 3rd term for Sassy Studio Designs.  Today is Dare to Be Sassy Thursday, Challenge #172, Rainbows after the Showers.  This challenge requires you to use at least 3 colors of the rainbow.  Well, mine is pretty colorful, but I had a heck of a time taking the picture because of all the foil and gloss on my design papers.  After 2 photo shoots, this was the best it got!  I used both Effie Trinket digis Lindsay created, and had fun playing with hair color and outfits.  I even gave the orange one fancy leggings.  Now Quilling wasn't easy!  Haven't done it in years, but it all comes back to you.  Wild, bright and funky is how this turned out, now to put pictures in it.  One always can use a birthday scrapbook page.  Come join the fun at Sassy Studios you could win some sassys of your own.  I'll be entering the following challenges:

Besties, Image 564

Here is one just for fun.  I've adopted a massive amount of Besties lately with sales going on, and sat down to play.  Sherri Baldy's talent amazes me, as they are all so stinkin cute.  Me, I can hardly draw a straight line with a ruler - no joke!  This one just called out for bright colors.  Here is a scrapbook page I created to be filled in at a later date.  I just thought the phrase was too funny not to put on my page.  Hope you get to craft just for fun as I did this time.  No deadlines, no commitments, just fun.  I'll be entering the following challenges:
